This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal data when you use Praxis Interactive LLC, including when you create an account, purchase or access digital content, interact with AI-powered features, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services.
By using Praxis Interactive LLC, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through the Praxis Interactive LLC platform, website, applications, reader tools, author tools, AI and content-generation features, customer support channels, and related services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, payment processors, websites, applications, or services that are not operated by Praxis Interactive LLC, even if they are linked from our platform or used in connection with it. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and practices.
2. The Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of information.
2.1 Identifiable Data
We collect information that directly identifies you, including your name, email address, account credentials, and account profile information.
2.2 Transaction and Payment Data
When you purchase content or subscribe to a paid plan, we collect transaction-related information such as purchase details, billing status, and payment confirmations. Payment card and similar financial information is processed by third-party payment processors. Praxis Interactive LLC does not store full payment card details.
2.3 Engagement Data
We collect information about how you interact with content on the platform, including reading progress, completion rates, time spent, navigation patterns, sections revisited, bookmarks, highlights, annotations, and similar usage activity.
2.4 AI Interaction and Generation Data
If you use AI-powered features, we collect information relating to those interactions, including the questions you ask, the prompts you submit, the content of conversations, the responses generated, and interaction patterns associated with those features. For author-facing generation features, this may also include instructions, generation settings, source and target languages, pronunciation guidance, and the text, images, audio, video, metadata, and other material submitted to or produced by those features.
If you use voice-enabled AI, audiobook, text-to-speech, transcription, or voice-cloning features, we may collect and process voice inputs, uploaded or recorded voice samples, audio files, transcripts, pronunciation instructions, voice settings, generated speech, and identifiers associated with a stored or cloned voice. Voice, audio, and related generation data may be processed by third-party AI, speech, or infrastructure service providers, including providers located in the United States and other jurisdictions outside your country of residence, to provide the requested functionality.
2.5 Inferential Data
We may derive information from your use of the platform, such as reading preferences, inferred interests, engagement trends, and recommendations.
2.6 Technical Data
We collect technical and device-related information, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, referral information, push-notification tokens, notification preferences, log data, crash data, and similar diagnostic or analytics information.
2.7 Communications Data
If you contact us, respond to surveys, request support, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the contents of those communications and related metadata.
2.8 User-Generated Content
We collect content you create or submit on the platform, including reviews, comments, highlights, annotations, responses to prompts, AI interactions, and other material you choose to create through Praxis Interactive LLC.
2.9 Author Content and Generated Media
If you use author tools, we collect and process the manuscripts, text, uploaded EPUB or DOCX files, images, cover art, metadata, supporting materials, prompts, instructions, and other content you provide. We also process intermediate and completed outputs such as converted ebooks, translations, summaries, generated metadata, audiobook files, transcripts, voice previews, and generated marketing text, images, audio, or video.
2.10 Collaboration, Live Session, and Integration Data
If you participate in anthologies, professional inquiries, live sessions, or other collaborative features, we may collect invitation details, contributor roles and status, attribution and revenue information, applications, inquiries, attendance and participant records, display-name snapshots, chat messages, camera or microphone media, screen shares, and live-session recordings. If an author connects a CRM, custom domain, tracking technology, or other integration, we also process connection identifiers, configuration, status, event-delivery records, and related diagnostic information.
2.11 Legal Acceptance Records
When you agree to our Terms of Service or acknowledge this Privacy Policy, we record the document type and version, the date and time of acceptance, the acceptance source, and technical information such as your IP address and browser user agent. We use these records to administer document updates, verify acceptance, enforce our agreements, and resolve disputes.
2.12 De-Identified and Aggregated Data
We may create de-identified data and aggregated data from information we collect. De-identified data is information that has had identifiers removed so that it is not reasonably linked to a specific individual. Aggregated data is combined statistical information that does not identify an individual user.
3. How We Collect Data
We collect data in the following ways:
- directly from you when you register, purchase content, subscribe, contact us, submit content, or use platform features;
- automatically when you use the platform, through logs, analytics tools, cookies, and similar technologies;
- from service providers that help us operate the platform, such as payment processors, hosting providers, analytics vendors, customer support tools, and AI service providers;
- from authors or other users only where relevant to your use of the platform and consistent with this Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:

- to provide access to books, subscriptions, and other digital content;
- to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the platform;
- to process payments, purchases, refunds, and subscription transactions;

- to power AI-based reader tools, including summaries, question answering, reflection prompts, and related features;
- to process author source files and provide conversion, formatting, translation, transcription, text-to-speech, audiobook, voice-cloning, metadata, and marketing-content generation features;
- to store, deliver, export, or publish generated outputs according to author instructions and settings;
- to provide anthology invitations, contributor attribution, collaboration access, and revenue reporting;
- to schedule, operate, moderate, record, replay, and support live sessions;
- to register devices and send service, transactional, event, or marketing notifications according to your settings;
- to operate author-configured landing pages, custom domains, analytics, CRM connections, tracking technologies, and related integrations;
- to validate identifiers and retrieve candidate bibliographic metadata from external sources;
- to analyze engagement trends and platform performance;
- to generate de-identified and aggregated insights;
- to detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, misuse, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
- to enforce our policies and legal rights;
- to comply with legal obligations and requests from authorities;
- to communicate with you about service-related matters, updates, transactions, or changes to our terms or policies.
We use personal data only for legitimate operational, contractual, legal, security, and service-improvement purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
5. AI Features and Generation Data
Praxis Interactive LLC offers AI-powered features that allow readers to interact with book content and allow authors to convert, translate, produce, narrate, promote, and otherwise work with their content.
When you use those features, we process AI interaction and generation data to provide the requested service, create and deliver outputs, maintain quality and reliability, improve product functionality, monitor performance, enforce our policies, and support the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Depending on the feature, the submitted material and generated output may be sent to one or more AI, translation, speech, media-generation, hosting, or infrastructure service providers acting on our behalf.
AI interaction data may reveal personal interests, preferences, comprehension patterns, or other sensitive characteristics depending on what you choose to share. For that reason, Praxis Interactive LLC treats AI interaction data with heightened care.
By default, Praxis Interactive LLC does not share raw AI interaction transcripts with authors.
AI-generated responses are produced by automated systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. AI-generated responses are identified as AI-generated content and do not represent the views or statements of the relevant author unless expressly stated otherwise.
You should not submit sensitive personal information into AI tools offered through Praxis Interactive LLC, including health information, financial account details, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information.
6. How We Share Data
We do not sell personal data in the ordinary sense of selling your information for money. We share personal data only as described below.
6.1 Service Providers
We share data with vendors and service providers that help us operate the platform, including providers of hosting, analytics, customer support, infrastructure, communications and push notifications, identity and sign-in, payment processing, live media and recording, bibliographic metadata, security, and AI functionality. These providers are authorized to use personal data only as needed to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by law.
When needed to provide an author or reader feature, service providers may process prompts, manuscripts, source files, translations, generated outputs, voice or audio data, images, video, metadata, and related technical information. The categories of data shared depend on the feature you choose to use.
6.2 Authors
Authors may receive aggregated and de-identified engagement insights, such as average completion rates, popular highlights, broad reading trends, common drop-off points, and aggregated themes in reader engagement.
When you purchase or claim a book, submit an inquiry or application, request contact, or use another feature that creates a direct relationship with an author, we may provide the relevant author with your name, email address, phone number if available, the applicable book or offering, transaction or access status, and related attribution details. This information may also be sent to a CRM or other service the author has connected for fulfillment, support, relationship management, and communications or marketing where permitted by law and your choices.
Unless separately disclosed or authorized, Praxis Interactive LLC does not share with authors:
- your individual reading history;
- your raw AI conversations;
- full payment-card or financial-account information;
- unrelated subscription, support, security, or account information.
We do not automatically provide purchaser contact information to every credited anthology contributor. Identifiable data is limited to the publishing author or other authorized recipients according to the feature, role, transaction, applicable law, and user choices. Once an author receives personal data, the author is responsible for their independent handling and use of that data.
6.3 Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose personal data to law enforcement, government authorities, regulators, courts, or other third parties when required by law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, court order, or similar obligation.
We may also disclose personal data when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:
- protect the rights, property, or safety of Praxis Interactive LLC, our users, authors, or others;
- detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, or other unlawful activity;
- enforce our terms, policies, or agreements;
- respond to emergencies or security incidents.
Where permitted by law, we may notify affected users before complying with a legal demand for their data. Where we are prohibited from doing so, we will comply with that prohibition.
6.4 Business Transfers
We may disclose or transfer data in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction.
6.5 With Your Direction or Consent
We may share personal data when you direct us to do so or when you provide consent.
6.6 Author-Directed Integrations
Authors may connect third-party CRM, analytics, advertising, domain, or automation services. When a reader performs an applicable action, such as making a purchase, claiming a book, submitting an inquiry, or consenting to marketing technologies, Praxis Interactive LLC may send the relevant data to the connected service at the author's direction. Those third parties may process data under their own terms and privacy practices, and the author is responsible for configuring and using the integration lawfully.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Praxis Interactive LLC may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember preferences, authenticate sessions, analyze usage, improve performance, and support security.
Some cookies and similar technologies are necessary for the platform to function. Others may be used for analytics, customization, or related operational purposes.
Where required by law, Praxis Interactive LLC will provide appropriate notice and consent mechanisms for non-essential cookies and similar technologies.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services, maintain accounts, complete transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and protect our rights.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the purpose for which it was collected. When personal data is no longer needed, we will delete it, anonymize it, or retain it only as permitted or required by law.
Author source files, voice samples, cloned-voice identifiers, intermediate generation data, and completed outputs may be retained while an account, book, project, generated asset, or related feature remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, security, support, dispute-resolution, legal, or operational purposes. Deleting content from Praxis Interactive LLC may not immediately remove copies held in backups or by service providers where temporary retention is required for service delivery, security, or legal compliance.
Live-session participant records and recordings may be retained while the session or recording remains available and for a reasonable period afterward. Deleting or ending a live session may not automatically delete a separately stored recording; a host or authorized administrator may need to use the recording deletion controls. Collaboration, transaction, contributor-earning, CRM-delivery, and notification records may be retained as needed for accounting, security, support, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
De-identified and aggregated data may be retained for longer periods where it no longer identifies an individual.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data. These may include the right to:
- access personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of personal data, subject to lawful retention needs;
- receive a copy of certain personal data in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority or regulator.
Praxis Interactive LLC also provides account-level controls for certain consent choices and privacy preferences where applicable.
If you withdraw a consent you previously gave, that withdrawal will apply going forward and will not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal. It also will not apply retroactively to de-identified or aggregated insights already created or shared.
10. Data Minimization and Purpose Limitation
Praxis Interactive LLC seeks to collect and use only the data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the platform and to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not use personal data for materially unrelated purposes without appropriate notice, consent, or another lawful basis where required.
11. De-Identified and Aggregated Data
Praxis Interactive LLC may use de-identified and aggregated data for analytics, research, service improvement, reporting, business intelligence, product development, and author insights.
Where we treat data as de-identified, we take reasonable measures designed to prevent that data from being re-associated with an individual.
12. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Praxis Interactive LLC may process and store personal data in countries other than the country in which you reside. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws in your jurisdiction.
Where required, Praxis Interactive LLC will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal data.
By using the platform, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions where Praxis Interactive LLC, its affiliates, or its service providers operate, subject to applicable legal protections.
13. Security
Praxis Interactive LLC implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
These measures include safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks involved, including encryption in transit using industry-standard protocols and encryption at rest using industry-standard methods.
No method of internet transmission, electronic storage, or security control is completely secure. Although we work to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If Praxis Interactive LLC becomes aware of a data breach affecting personal data, we will provide notices required by applicable law to affected individuals and relevant authorities.
14. Children's Privacy
Praxis Interactive LLC does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13, or under another age threshold where a different threshold applies under local law.
If Praxis Interactive LLC becomes aware that it has collected personal data from a child below the applicable age threshold without the legally required consent, Praxis Interactive LLC will take steps to delete that data.
Where Praxis Interactive LLC permits use by minors above the applicable child threshold but below the age of majority, Praxis Interactive LLC may require verifiable parental or guardian consent where required by law.
A parent or guardian who believes that a child has provided personal data to Praxis Interactive LLC without appropriate consent may contact us to request review and deletion.
15. Author and Reader Data Separation
Praxis Interactive LLC is designed so that private reading behavior is not disclosed to authors by default. Authors may receive aggregated or de-identified engagement insights and may receive the limited transaction, identity, or contact information described in Section 6.2 when a purchase, claim, inquiry, application, contact request, or other applicable feature creates a direct relationship.
Identifiable information is provided only to the relevant publishing author or other recipients authorized by the applicable feature, role, law, and user choices. Credited contributors and unrelated authors do not automatically receive a reader's identity, contact information, private reading history, or raw AI conversations.
Praxis Interactive LLC does not permit authors to use platform-provided data to attempt to identify, profile, or re-identify individual readers from aggregated information.
16. Third-Party Services
The platform may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including payment processors, AI providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics vendors, identity providers, communications and push notification services, live-media and recording providers, bibliographic metadata sources, CRM and automation platforms, and customer support tools.
When third parties process data on our behalf, we require them to handle that data in a manner consistent with applicable law and our contractual requirements.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third-party services acting as independent controllers or under their own terms.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, data practices, legal requirements, or operational needs.
If we make material changes, we will provide notice through appropriate means, such as by posting an updated policy on the platform, sending an email, or providing an in-product notice.
